Participating in SWITCH 2024: Providing Optimization AI Services to Solve Complex Decision-Making Problems in Industry

Routing Engine

Omelet (CEO Jin-gyu Park) announced its participation in "SWITCH 2024," which will be held in Singapore from October 28 (Monday) to October 30 (Wednesday).

Omelet provides optimization AI services to solve complex decision-making problems in industrial settings. As a startup founded by KAIST faculty members, Professors Jin-gyu Park and Chang-hyun Kwon, Omelet is developing an optimization AI Foundation model that combines generative AI and optimization techniques to quickly and accurately solve complex problems.

The company is also developing a DecisionOps platform to make this technology easily accessible to businesses, enabling them to build, maintain, and manage AI-based decision-making models using their own data. Omelet's technology is applicable not only to optimizing logistics systems, robot systems, and transportation systems but also to drug discovery and semiconductor chip design. Currently, Omelet is providing optimization AI services to various logistics and manufacturing companies.

Omelet is developing various solutions to solve complex problems in logistics, robotics, and transportation using optimization AI technology. The company is preparing to launch major product lines aimed at optimizing logistics system operations.

First, they plan to release a routing engine in API form worldwide, which can solve delivery task allocation and route optimization problems. This routing engine combines generative AI and AI-based Local Search techniques to reflect industry-specific constraints and solve large-scale routing problems quickly and accurately. Additionally, its modular structure allows for flexible adaptation to various industries with minimal additional work.

Secondly, the Transportation Management System (TMS), scheduled for release in November, supports delivery optimization through hierarchical routing that considers resource allocation between logistics centers. With intuitive optimization settings and integrated data management features, customers can efficiently manage their delivery data and easily handle service times and entry conditions. Furthermore, TMS can be utilized as a CRM tool to manage delivery quality and customer satisfaction.

Omelet's products primarily leverage their proprietary optimization AI technology as a distinctive strength. Omelet possesses proprietary optimization AI-based technology developed by KAIST professors and researchers. This core technology has a structure similar to OpenAI's O1 model and is emphasized for providing cutting-edge solutions to complex decision-making problems. Particularly, Omelet highlights its ability to apply advanced optimization techniques to solve complex industrial problems quickly and accurately as a differentiating factor.

The DecisionOps platform for businesses is also notable. In addition to algorithms, Omelet offers a DecisionOps platform that allows companies to easily build, manage, and maintain AI-based decision-making models on their own. Regarding this, Omelet stated, "Unlike most competitors in the decision management field, Omelet holds proprietary algorithm technology, which provides a significant competitive advantage. The combination of this optimization AI technology and a customized platform offers greater flexibility and superior performance in the decision-making process for businesses."

Meanwhile, SWITCH 2024, now in its 9th year, is Asia's largest global startup exhibition, attended by promising startups and buyers from around the world, organized by Enterprise Singapore, a public agency under the Ministry of Trade and Industry of Singapore.

The Korea Startup Promotion Agency will set up a K-STARTUP pavilion to showcase the technology of promising domestic startups to buyers and investors. The participating startups will operate exhibition booths and participate in various programs such as investor meetings during the exhibition period. From Korea, ten companies, including Vestella Lab, Elect, Omelet, Coconut Silo, Tacticalist, Prnasier, Hopae, and Huron, will participate and operate the integrated K-STARTUP pavilion together with the Korea Venture Capital Association and Busan Technopark.
