2024 K-Deep Tech Startup Championship: 'Excellence Award' Winner

On the 17th, the startup Omelet won the Excellence Award in the faculty startup category at the '2024 K-Deep Tech Startup Championship' held at COEX in Samseong-dong, Seoul.

With this Excellence Award, Omelet will receive a prize of 1 million KRW. They will also be provided with various support programs necessary for startup growth, including expert consulting in technology, management, and overseas expansion, media promotion support, joint investment connections, synergy company connections, follow-up investment linkage, and an invitation to the international conference 'K-Platform.'

Omelet is a startup developing 'OaaSIS,' an AI (artificial intelligence) foundation model that optimizes industrial problems. Through this, they optimize various industry issues, including distribution and logistics. Omelet was founded by Associate Professor Jin-Kyu Park and Associate Professor Chang-Hyun Kwon from the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at KAIST.

Omelet was recognized for its high AI performance and wide range of applications. Noh Kyu-Seung, the head of the OI Strategy Office at Hyundai Motor Company and Kia, who participated as a judge, commented, "It is a team with high technical skills that are hard to see in early startups."

The K-Deep Tech Startup Championship is a deep tech startup competition organized by 'Unicorn Factory,' a startup-specialized media platform of Money Today, and hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT, KAIST, DGIST, UNIST, GIST, and POSTECH.
